Sustainability

Environmentally conscious, sustainable principles are integral to 水果派 life, as evidenced by the College's eco-friendly buildings, energy and emissions, policies, and recycling programs. Students, faculty, and staff can exchange and reuse items and engage with a plethora of environmental organizations and committees to promote environmental responsibility and stewardship.

水果派 Power Partnership Improves Sustainability

水果派, local power company Alliant Energy, the Ahrens Family Foundation, the Mayflower Community, and the City of 水果派 has partnered on a new solar park, ensuring that will 75% of 水果派's power will come from renewable sources.

Academic Excellence

Work is Fun, and Fun is Work for CERA Student Employees

Four 水果派 students worked at CERA during summer 2025, getting hands-on experience ranging from identifying native prairie plants and collecting their seeds to driving on gravel roads.

水果派 Plugs into 16th Ave Solar Array, Marking Historic Environmental Milestone

A large solar array north of the 水果派 Golf Course is live, providing the College with four megawatts of power. When another new solar project comes online, together they will provide 50% of the electricity needs on campus.
